爱情和时间

从前，在一个岛上住着所有情感：幸福，悲伤，知识以及包括爱情在内的所有其它情感。
一天，情感们接到通知，该岛将沉没，因此所有情感都建造了船只，纷纷乘船离去，只有爱情例外。
爱情是唯一留下来的，它想坚持到最后关头。
当岛屿即将沉没时，爱情决定求助。
富裕正坐着豪船从爱情身边驶过。爱情说：“富裕，你能带上我吗？”
富裕回答：“不，我不能。我的船上有许多金银，没有你的地方。”
爱情决定向坐着一条美丽大船从身边驶过的虚荣求助。“虚荣，请帮帮我。”
“我不能帮你，爱情。你浑身透湿，会弄脏我的船。”虚荣回答。
这时，悲伤驶到近旁，爱情请求：“悲伤，让我和你一起走吧。”
“噢……爱情，我如此悲伤，需要独处。”
幸福也驶了过去，但它如此开心，根本没有听到爱情的呼唤。
突然，传来一个声音：“来，爱情，让我带上你。”如此幸运，爱情大喜过望，它甚至忘记询问老者要驶向何方。当它们到达陆地时，老者朝自己的方向驶去。意识到应该感激老者，爱情问另一老者知识：“帮我的是谁？”
“它是时间。”知识回答。
“时间？”爱情问：“时间为什么要帮我？”
知识带着深深的智慧微微一笑，答道：“因为只有时间能够理解爱情的价值。”
附：原文 Love and Time Once upon a time, there was an island where allthe feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others,including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island wouldsink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love. Love was the only one who stayed. Love wantedto hold out until the last possible moment. When the island had almost sunk, Love decidedto ask for help. Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat.Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No, I can't. There isa lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you." Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passingby in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage myboat," Vanity answered. Sadness was close by so Love asked,"Sadness, let me go with you." "Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need tobe by myself!" Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was sohappy that she did not even hear when Love called her. Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love,I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love evenforgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land,the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "WhoHelped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "Time?" asked Love. "But why didTime help me?" Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered,"Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."
