着眼未来 荷叶/译 “我们正在阅读一本书的第一章第一节，而这本大书有无穷页……” 我不知道是谁写了上面的话，但我总喜欢用它来提醒我：将来由我们自己创造。 我们可以把神秘莫测的未来雕琢成我们想要的任何东西，正如一个雕刻家把一块不成形的石头雕成雕像一样。我们所有人都像农夫。播种一粒良种，就会喜获丰收；播种一粒劣种，且杂草丛生，就会徒劳无获；不去播种，何谈收获？我希望未来好于过去，我不希望未来被充斥历史的错误和过失所玷污。我们每个人都应该关注未来，因为那是我们度过余生的场所。过去一去不返，无论做什么都无法改变。未来正充满活力地展现在我们面前，我们的一举一动都会影响未来。每一天都是一个新的开始，无论在家庭里还是在事业中。我们要认识到：在人类努力追求的各个领域，我们才刚刚起步。 附：原文 "We are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose page are infinite..." I do not who wrote those words, but I always likes them as a remainder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just as a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone. We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all. I want the future to be better than the past, I don't want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the remainder of our lives. The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affect it. Each day brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our business, if we only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in everyfield of human endeavor. |
