节省每张纸 捐资助孤儿

一群男孩计划募集资金帮一些孤儿重返校园。
他们去向人们募捐。见到的第一个人坐在椅子上，正在责骂一个男孩，原因是男孩撕毁了一张无用的纸。只见这位先生非常生气，告诉男孩下不为例。 这群孩子不想在这里浪费时间。刚要离开，这位先生叫住了他们。进去还是不进去，他们犹豫不决。最后，他们走了进去。这位先生微笑着给他们让座。他们不知如何开口。当被问到此行的目的时，他们面面相觑。最后，他们鼓起勇气，说明了来意。当被告知是为孤儿募钱时，这位先生请他们等一下。在他们等待中，端上了许多零食。 这位先生从衣兜中掏出一个信封，递给男孩们，让他们打开看一下。打开一看，是一张百万美元的支票，他们大吃一惊。这位先生叮嘱他们把这笔钱交给本地的学校，要好好利用这笔钱。 这位先生知道他们不愿意进来的原因，是因为他在因为浪费一张纸而责骂儿子。他说：“我不是吝啬，但能省则省是个好习惯。只有这样，我们才能把省下的每一分钱花在最重要的地方。”那一天这群男孩极其高兴，他们对这位先生千恩万谢，感激不尽。

A group of boys wanted to help some orphans. They planned to collect money for them so that they could go to school. They wanted to asked people for donations. The first man they turned to was a man sitting on a chair. They saw him through the door. He was scolding a boy for tearing a piece of unused paper to pieces. He was very angry and warned the boy not to waste paper. They didn’t to waste their time there. When they were going away, the gentleman called them back. They were in two minds whether to go in or not. Finally, they all went in. The gentleman smiled and asked them to take a seat. They didn’t know how to begin. They looked at one another when the gentleman asked the purpose of their visit. The boys gathered courage and explained to him the purpose of their visit. When they told him of the need to collect money for the orphans, he asked them to wait. As they were waiting, the snacks were served. The gentleman pulled out a envelope from his pocket, gave it to them and asked them to open it and have a look. To their surprise, when they opened it, they saw a cheque for $1000000. He told them to make good use of it and to hand it over to the local schools. The gentleman knew that they were not going to enter the house when they saw him scolding his boy for wasting paper. He said to them, “I’m not mean, but saving what we have is a good habit. We can spend every penny we save on the most important thing this way.” That day the boys were extremely delighted, they couldn’t thank him enough. |
