幸福的婚姻

一个人与他女朋友结婚了，婚礼盛大。所有的朋友和家人都来观礼并享受其中的快乐。大家过得都很愉快。新娘身着白色婚纱，楚楚动人，新郎身着黑色燕尾服，风度翩翩。大家都能看出他们彼此之间有真爱。
几个月后，妻子来到丈夫面前，带着一个提议：“刚才，我在一份杂志上读到一篇关于怎样使我们的婚姻更加稳固的文章。”她接着说：“咱俩每人列一张单子，上面写出我们从对方身上找到的哪怕只有一点令自己讨厌的地方。然后我们一起讨论如何修改，以使我们在一起的生活更加幸福。
丈夫同意了，于是，两个人走进不同的屋子里，思考着对方让自己恼火的事情。他们想了一整天，把所能想到的都写了出来。
第二天早餐桌上，他们决定仔细研究一下两人写出的单子。
“我先开始，”妻子说道。她取出了她写的单子，上面列出许多条，足足填满了三页纸。事实上，当她读着那些小小的不快时，她注意到丈夫的眼里闪着泪花。
“怎么了？”她问道：“没什么，接着读。”
妻子继续读着，把三页全都读给了他丈夫听。她利落地把单子放在桌子上，双手交叉放在上面。
“现在，该你读了，然后，我们一起讨论两张单子。”她快活地说。
丈夫轻轻地说：“我的单子上什么也没写。我认为你现在就很完美。我不想让你为我做任何改变。你很可爱很精彩，我不会去试图改变你的一丝一毫。”
妻子被他的诚实，他深沉的爱，以及对自己的接受所感动，她转过头去，轻声啜泣。
生活中，我们会有许多失望，沮丧和恼火的时候。我们真的不必去刻意寻找这些，我们有一个精彩的世界，里面充满了美，光亮和希望。当我们环顾四周，满眼美好时，为什么还要浪费时间去寻找那些糟糕的，让人失望的，令人恼火的事情呢？

A man and his girlfriend were married. It was a large celebration. All of their friends and family came to see the lovely ceremony and to partake of the festivities and celebrations. All had a wonderful time. The bride was gorgeous in her white wedding gown and the groom was very dashing in his black tuxedo. Everyone could tell that the love they had for each other was true. A few months later, the wife came to the husband with a proposal, "I read in a magazine, a while ago, about how we can strengthen our marriage," she offered. "Each of us will write a list of the things that we find a bit annoying with the other person. Then, we can talk about how we can fix them together and make our lives happier together." The husband agreed. So each of them went to a separate room in the house and thought of the things that annoyed them about the other. They thought about this question for the rest of the day and wrote down what they came up with. The next morning, at the breakfast table, they decided that they would go over their lists. "I'll start," offered the wife. She took out her list. It had many items on it, enough to fill 3 pages. In fact, as she started reading the list of the little annoyances, she noticed that tears were starting to appear in her husband's eyes. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Nothing," the husband replied, "keep reading your list." The wife continued to read until she had read all three pages to her husband. She neatly placed her list on the table and folded her hands over the top of it. "Now, you read your list and then we'll talk about the things on both of our lists," she said happily. Quietly the husband stated, "I don't have anything on my list. I think that you are perfect the way that you are. I don't want you to change anything for me. You are lovely and wonderful and I wouldn't want to try and change anything about you." The wife, touched by his honesty and the depth of his love for her and his acceptance of her, turned her head and wept. In life, there are enough times when we are disappointed, depressed and annoyed. We don't really have to go looking for them. We have a wonderful world that is full of beauty, light and promise. Why waste time in this world looking for the bad, disappointing or annoying when we can look around us, and see the wondrous things before us? |
