财富 成功 爱
荷叶/译 一个女人走出家门，发现三位长着长长白胡子的老人坐在她家门口。她并不认识他们，便说：“我想我不认识你们，但你们一定饿了，请进来吃点东西吧。” “主人在家吗？”他们问。“不在，”女人回答：“她出去了。”“那我们就不进去了。”老人回答。晚上丈夫回来时，女人告诉他所发生的一切。“去告诉他们我回来了，请他们进来吧！”女人走出去邀请三位老人进来。“我们不会一起进同一家的。”他们说。“为什么？”女人问。 其中一位老人解释说：“他叫财富，”他用手指着其中一位朋友说，“他叫成功，我叫爱。”接下来他说：“现在，进去和你丈夫商量一下，你们家想邀请我们哪一位进去？”
女人走进去，把这一切告诉了丈夫。她丈夫大喜过望。“太好了！”他说：“既然如此，我们邀请财富吧，请他进来，让我们家充满财富吧！”妻子不同意：“亲爱的，我们为什么不邀请成功呢？”他家儿媳听到了这些话，从房子的另一角落跑过来，建议道：“邀请爱不是更好吗？那样我们家里就会充满了爱。”“那就听儿媳的吧，”丈夫对妻子说：“去邀请爱到我家做客。”
女人走出来，问三位老人：“请问哪一位是爱，请进来做客。”
爱站起来，向屋子走去。
其他两位也起身相随。女人非常惊讶，问道：“我只邀请了爱，你们二位为什么也要进去？” 三位老人一起回答：“如果你邀请的是财富或者成功，我们其他两位就会呆在外面，但因为你邀请了爱，无论它去哪儿，我们都会相随。有爱的地方，也会有财富和成功。”
附：原文 A woman came out of her house and saw three old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said, "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?" Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Wouldn't it be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love." "Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite Love to beour guest." The woman went out and asked the three old men, "Which one of you isLove? Please come in and be our guest." Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?" The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success,the other two of us would have stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!"
