站在进步的起跑点 荷叶/译 我们正在阅读一本书的第一章第一行，而这本书的页数是没有尽头的。 我不知道这本书由谁来书写，但我却一直很喜欢把它视为一种提醒，提醒我们未来是可以随意创造的。我们可以掌握谜一样的朦胧的未来，从中雕刻出我们想要的东西，正如一个雕刻家把一块不成形的石头刻成雕像一样。 我们的处境都像家夫。种下一粒良种，就会获得丰收。如果种子不好，杂草丛生，收成就会差劲。如果根本不去播种，就会颗粒无收。 我希望将来好于过去。我不想让充斥历史的过失和失误来损毁我的未来。我们都应该关注未来，因为那是我们的余生将要度过的地方。 过去已逝，成为静态，无可改变。前面的未来却是动态的。一举一动都对它产生影响。无论在家里，还是在业务上，只要我们能认识到，每天都会带来未开发的领域。我们正处于各个领域中人类进步的开端。 附：原文 Weare reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose pages are infinite..." I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just as a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone. We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all. I want the future to be better than the past. I don't want it contaminated by th emistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the remainder of our lives. The past is gone and static.Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic.Everything we do will affect it. Each day brings with it new frontiers, in ourhomes and in our business, if we only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.
