十月的日出

第二天清晨，在十月的日出之前，我起身走进了旷野和林地。乍暖还寒，升起的太阳辉煌壮丽，透过扩散的晨曦向下窥视。太阳抬起了它一只肩膀，穿过灰朦朦的山巅和一望无际的忽明忽暗的内陆高地。在太阳的盯视下，雾气下降，沉到低洼处。而后丝丝缕缕地飘散开，而在岩石高挂，遮挡草地的背影处，还能见到依然盘踞的雾影，如裙装的下摆，与此同时群山的轮廓开始出现，一峰接一峰地滑入视野。
森林层层叠叠显现，犹如苏醒的群山上的一层帘幕。富丽堂皇，让人心生敬畏，并带有对暴风雨的记忆。经秋之手掌一抚摸，这片山林非常宜人，微微透出一抹金黄色，丹红和橄榄绿，山林对太阳的欣喜之情与其说是献给情郎的，倒不如说是献给慈父的。
然而，在流动着的山林变清晰之前，突然一道光线跃过山巅和山谷，洒下了琥珀色，湛蓝，紫红，还有淡淡的玫瑰红，色彩丰富，欢快无比。阳光所到之处，幕布倏然而逝，驱散了恐惧和丝丝黑暗，带着翅膀的希望开始升腾，大声宣布：“上帝在这里！”接着，生机和欢愉从每一个蜷伏的洞孔突然出现，令人欣慰。每一朵鲜花，每一颗蓓蕾，每一只小鸟，都心领神会，轻灵飘动，振翅鼓翼。上帝的顾盼霎时融成一种温柔无比的慷慨赐与。
或许，一个不朽的早晨即将出现，届时，不再有悬崖深涧，不再有幽谷峰巅，也不再有浩瀚无垠不知纪年的海洋。而就在此时，万物张开睡眼，起床，沐浴在上帝慈父般的霞光之中，因为太阳升起来了。

An October Sunrise I was up the next morning before the October sunrise, and away through the wild and the woodland. The rising of the sun was noble in the cold and warmth of it peeping down the spread of light, he raised his shoulder heavily over the edge of grey mountain and wavering length of upland. Beneath his gaze the dew-fogs dipped, and crept to the hollow places; then stole away in line and column, holding skirts, and clinging subtly at the sheltering corners where rock hung over grassland, while the brave lines of the hills came forth, one beyond other gliding.
The woods arose in folds, like drapery of awakened mountains, stately with a depth of awe, and memory of the tempests. Autumn’s mellow hand was upon them, as they owned already, touched with gold and red and olive, and their joy towards the sun was less to a bridegroom than a father.
Yet before the floating impress of the woods could clear itself, suddenly the gladsome light leaped over hill and valley, casting amber, blue, and purple, and a tint of rich red rose; according to the scene they lit on, and the curtain flung around; yet all alike dispelling fear and the cloven hoof of darkness, all on the wings of hope advancing, and proclaiming, “God is here!” then life and joy sprang reassured from every crouching hollow; every flower, and bud and bird had a fluttering sense of them; and all the flashing of God’s gaze merged into soft beneficence.
So, perhaps, shall break upon us that eternal morning, when crag and chasm shall be no more, neither hill and valley, nor great unvintaged ocean; but all things shall arise, and shine in the light of the Father’s countenance, because itself is risen.
