       当我们老老实实问自己哪种人在我们生活中最重要时，我们常常发现我们选择的不是那些给我们很多建议，方法或计策的人，而是那些宁愿分担我们的痛苦，用温柔的手抚慰我们创伤的人。那些在我们困惑绝望时，能够默默地和我们在一起，在我们伤心痛苦时，能够留在我们身边，容忍我们的无知，无措，无法摆脱痛苦，与我们一起面对无能为力这种感觉的人，才是真正关心在乎我们的朋友。

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair of confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.
