雨中奔跑 荷叶/译 她和母亲停留在沃尔玛。这个一头漂亮的棕发，一脸雀斑，一脸天真的女孩一定有六岁了。外面下着瓢泼大雨。这场雨又急又暴，来不及流入下水道，而是满街横流。 我们站在沃尔玛门口的遮棚下躲雨。我们耐心地等待，有些人却很暴躁，因为老天搞砸了他们忙碌的一天。雨天总会令我着迷。我迷失在冲刷世上污垢和尘埃的天簌之音和天赐美景之中。儿时在雨中无忧无虑地奔跑，水花四溅的场景涌入脑海，暂时缓解了此时的烦恼。 小女孩甜美的声音打破了大家陷入的昏昏欲睡的状态。“妈妈，让我们在雨中奔跑吧。”她说。 “什么？”妈妈问。 “让我们在雨中奔跑！”她重复一遍。 “不，亲爱的，我们等雨小一点再走。”妈妈答道。 小家伙等了大约一分钟时间，又说：“妈妈，让我们在雨中奔跑吧。” “那样我们会淋湿的。”妈妈说。 “不，不会的，妈妈。你今天早上不是这样说的。”小女孩边说边拉位了妈妈的胳膊。 “今天早上？我什么时候说过在雨中奔跑而不会淋湿呀？” “你不记得了吗？你和爸爸谈到他的癌症时，你说：如果上帝让我们闯过这一关，他就能让我们闯过任何难关。”整个人群变得一片死寂。我发誓除了雨声什么也听不到。所有人都默默地站着。接下来几分钟没有一个人走动。妈妈停顿了一下，想了想她该怎么说。 此刻，有些人会对此一笑了之，或者嘲笑她的愚蠢，一些人甚至可能对她的话置之不理。但这是一个孩子人生中需要肯定的时刻。此刻天真的信任如果得到呵护，就能成长为信念。“亲爱的，你说得完全正确。让我们在雨中奔跑吧。如果我们被淋湿，也许我们正好需要洗个澡。“妈妈说，随后，她们跑进了雨中。 我们都站在那儿笑着观看，看她们在车中穿梭，把购物袋举到头顶上挡雨。她们湿透了。但有几个人像孩子一样，一路又叫又笑地跟在她们后面，跑向他们的汽车。是的，我也这样做了，我跑进雨中，淋湿了。我需要洗澡。环境或他人可以拿走我们的物质财富，抢走我们的金钱，剥夺我们的健康。但任何人也剥夺不了我们宝贵的记忆。因此，不要忘记每天花点时间，找个机会留下点记忆。 天下万物皆有时令，万事皆有时机。我希望你仍能花些时间在雨中奔跑。 附；原文 Run Through the Rain
She had been shopping with her Mom in Wal-Mart. She must have been 6 years old,this beautiful brown haired, freckle-faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much ina hurry to hit the Earth it has no time to flow down the spout.
We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Wal-Mart.We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I get lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories ofrunning, splashing so carefree as a child come pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
Her voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in."Mom, let's run through the rain." she said.
"What?" Mom asked.
"Let's run through the rain!" She repeated.
"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit." Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated: "Mom, let's run through the rain."
"We'll get soaked if we do." Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning." the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm."
"This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not getwet?"
"Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!' "
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently.No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for amoment about what she would say.
Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might evenignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child'slife. Time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith. "Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. Ifget wet, we’ll maybe we just needed washing." Mom said. Then off theyran.
We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and.They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked.But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars. And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can takeaway your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories. So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories every day!
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. I hope you still take the time to run through the rain. |
